This week I have seen an influx of bare land become available. This is an oddity and reflects a tremendous opportunity for the smart investor. Homes tend to lose value over time when compared to a similar new home. It just happens that as a home gets older people are willing to pay less for the home then one that is newer.
But land is different. Land is a constant. It has nothing to lose value against, nor does it have to be maintained to obtain its greatest potential.
So if your looking for a great long term investment - stick to bare land. It's the safer and less worrisome bet.
